It was my fathers birthday recently, and being as I am such a cheap skate I decided to draw portrait for him.... that's me on the left, the old man in the middle, and my sister on the right...ooooo artsy.

HNT9 - The Prof.

Today's HNT comes from the lupine Prof Fate... who I am told by a little birdy, is a legal eagle just like I want to be one day when I grow into a big cub - do you get the animal references? goes with the quote see, which also goes with a whole legal theme here. Normally (it has only happened twice ha ha ha) I supplement the none naked hot chick entries with archive material but not today. Today I am so freaking chuffed with how this drawing came out that I do not have the heart to detract from it (didn't even photo shop a frame onto it). Yeah Yeah it's a dude ass, but man like I dun told you it's art not porn serious mom...

HNT7 - and a dragon on his shoulders breathing forth fire

You may as well know that Prof Fate is my all time -- I've got big balls, here have a look -- hero because he is the first guy to give me a HNT to draw... and that earns major kudos... still I am an immature little bastard and so I couldn't let him be the first nekkid dude on this blog.. no no no never, that is my job. Hence the HNT above... shoulder not ass. And in case you cam for the betties, I have included a copy of the picture behind me. It's not my picture but a copy of anothers that I did whilst learning to draw... enjoy.

HNT6 - The Crimson Mystery

My HNT model for today is the still mysterious Crimson, who sent me an outtake from her 4th of July HNT for drawing.

Shocking splashes of red hair against black and white have become some what of a trademark for Crimson's HNT's and a tough act to follow with just charcoal, I think we did ok. And I hope that the mysterious Northwest American will grace me some more work in the near future.

HNT5 - Mel and Hannah

This weeks HNT model is Miss_Lissa who was quick to point out that this picture doesn't really fit in with the nude theme of this blog (some even call it porn would you believe) but that doesn't bug me because the drawing is interesting for other reasons. When you draw in charcoal you need to apply a fixative to the finished work, I normally use a spray on lacquer but for this one I stole an idea from photoshop and applied a genuine wax coating... I kinda like the effect. And just in case you really do only visit to see nudies here is a bonus pic from my *ahem* archives.

And then finally a big thanks to Crimson and Lily for your submissions the drawings are done but I am without a camera just now... As soon as I can I will e-mail you copies.

I think it is only fair that I should turn the pencil as it where upon myself this time. And so there you have it. From left to right in colomn 1. Picture taken by Wenchy and the drawing is by Furzl --- nice hey? and then colomns 2 and 3 are all me baby but at different stages in what my biographers will call my artistic development.

HNT2 - A Mouse..through Art...

About five minutes after the first HNT post I got e-mail from the mouse and this is what we came up with, one of my favourite drawings so far, mostly because the original photograph was such a work of art to begin with, there is a copy (with permission, below). The Mouse's favourite writer is Oscar Wilde and I think that the quote lifted from his essay on Art describes our collaboration very well indeed. Also submissions are still most welcome, these should follow the normal HNT rules and,since Tommy Gunn asked last week, I will gladly take submissions from guys... art doesn't worry over gender.

HNT 1 - this moonless night

This is a photo that was given to me by a fellow blogger, she (for this much is obvious) does not participate in HNT and wants to be kept anonymous... nuff said about that.

I must clarify my take on HNT in case you think I am a creepy dude. My approach is to post my drawings of pictures submitted to me by other bloggers (ps submissions are most welcome, for your trouble you will receive fame and the original drawing via post), I must stress this is done with permission.

The small piece of poetry:

Was written by a Japanese poet, Ono No Komachi, in the 9th century further than that I know nothing of her.
